Career Description

The Instructional Designer position is responsible for the design and development of EZCORP University courseware and related solutions, including workbooks, job aids, lesson plans, etc. The position will work both independently and as part of cross functional teams. You will be required to work in a fast paced dynamic environment that demands creativity, high quality and consistency.

Key areas of responsibility:

1. Be the primary designer and developer of eLearning content at EZCORP.
2. Ensure learning products are aligned with performance objectives.
3. Actively help develop and maintain multiple project plans to track progress, resources, and millstones.
4. Build open relationships with our subject matter experts and their leadership to ensure the products developed are relevant and add value.

Critical and essential tasks:

1. Facilitate discovery meetings and conduct interviews to confirm training needs and translate those needs into concrete options for learning platforms.
2. Work with operational business partners to define learning solution objectives to ensure the impact can be measured and is liked to business goals.
3. Facilitate design sessions with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and project teams.
4. Write concise, creative and effective instruction. Deliverables will include design documents, storyboards, conceptual designs, and online modules.
5. Ensure that all learning solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning theory.
6. Ability to adhere to strict timelines and to meet strict deadlines.


Career Requirements

Job-Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

▪ Extremely well-versed in application of design methodologies including but not limited to: ADDIE model, SAM, backward design, e-learning blueprint, and interactive learning experiences.

▪ Experience in designing authentic assessments and engaging course content.

▪ Ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design.

▪ Highly proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite 365 and Learning Management Systems.

▪ Minimum of 1 year of experience with Articulate, Storyline, and Rise.  Preferred candidates will also have experience with Adobe Cloud apps such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

▪ Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of eLearning development experience or 5+ years eLearning development experience


▪ Strong consideration to candidates with a background in Graphic Design & Graphic Skills
