EZCORP’s CISO organization is responsible for managing security risks across all aspects of EZCORP’s businesses in the United States, Latin America, and Canada. We are adding high performing Security and Compliance team members who are passionate about enabling the company’s digital transformation journey by developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on modern safeguards to protect our information assets.

EZCORP is a leading provider of pawn loans in the United States and Latin America. Our stores in Canada specialize in offering consumers non-collateralized short-term loans. We are dedicated to satisfying the short-term cash needs of consumers who are both cash and credit constrained and providing an industry-leading and increasingly digital customer experience.

We are currently seeking a Sr. Analyst to join our team based at EZCORP headquarters in Austin, Texas.

This role will be a key member of EZCORP’s IT Compliance team, which is responsible for partnering with our CIO, Internal Audit, and Business partners to drive understanding of and adherence to EZCORP Policies and Standards and Industry Best Practices including, but not limited to, NIST, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), PCI DSS, and HIPAA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and recommend solutions to fulfill regulatory compliance requirements in our legacy on-premise and cloud-based environments.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Security, Internal Audit and our external auditors to deliver the successful execution of annual SOX testing.
  • Streamline and coordinate testing activities across multiple business units and locations, oversee controls testing aligned with EZCORP’s internal controls framework. Activities include scoping, evidence gathering, gap analysis, remediation/mitigation coordination, management reporting, and work paper documentation and submission.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to drive remediation efforts, working with our auditors to understand deficiencies, and assisting the IT organization with developing management action plans to resolve noted gaps.
  • Provide consultation and advice to stakeholders on their SOX compliance requirements and deliverables and provide best practice insight.
  • Contribute to new control design, risk assessments and control rationalization efforts for compliance and operational processes.
  • Assist in the research and recommendation of hardware and software solutions to augment or enhance existing compliance measures as needed.
  • Assist the CISO and IT Compliance Manager with board, executive and management-level reporting metrics, materials and dashboards.
  • Develops, updates, and maintains compliance documentation covering all in scope systems and supporting technology.

 

 

 

Career Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Management Information Systems or related field
  • 5-10 years of full-time relevant business experience
  • 4-7 years at one of the ‘Big Four’ auditing/consulting firms is an advantage
  • Industry certification such as CISA, CISM, PCI ISA/QSA, CISSP
  • Hands-on experience performing security control assessments utilizing established industry frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI, COBIT, NIST)
  • Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver
  • Highly skilled at working on cross-functional project teams
  • Proven ability to identify issues and successfully advocate for reasonable, effective solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and information technology systems, terminology, concepts, and practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work; highly organized
  • Demonstrated skill in communicating complex information clearly in a presentation setting
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure while meeting aggressive deadlines on multiple engagements
  • Comfort taking direction and then working autonomously requiring limited ongoing supervision and guidance
